Research
Over half of our graduates have performed research outside of a traditional classroom setting while at GC, working with our own faculty or receiving funding to work with researchers at other institutions, from Stanford University to the National Institutes of Health
90%
We have a long tradition of successfully preparing students for health professions. Over 90% of our students who complete the application process, including an interview, get accepted to medical school.
Travel
We offer two regular May term courses: Paleobiology of the Western US and Tropical Biology. The paleobiology course involves a 5,000 mile cross-country trip to explore fossil beds that span much of the evolution of multicellular life. Tropical Biology students travel to Belize, where their time is divided between studying forest and coral reef ecology.
